Exploring Funko's SDCC 2026 Booth: Exclusives and Experiences

As the San Diego Convention Center buzzes with excitement during Comic-Con 2026 one booth stands out as a beacon for collectors and fans: Funko.

The company, known for its Funko Pops! and other collectibles, has carved out a massive space in a far corner of the convention center. With over 130,000 attendees flocking to the event, Funko’s installation is a hotspot for those eager to get their hands on exclusive items and engage with the brand.

Exclusive Collectibles and Limited Editions

Funko has mastered the art of creating hype around its products, and SDCC 2026 is no exception. The company offers a slew of convention exclusives, including a grey Wizard of Oz poster from its arty division Mondo limited to just 100 printings. To make it even more rare, a small percentage of these posters are in Wicked Witch green.

Among the most sought-after items are the Funko Pops! based on DC’s Absolute line, featuring reinvented versions of BatmanSuperman and Wonder Woman. However, the real buzz is around the Invincible Pops, inspired by the popular Amazon animated series. Funko is releasing a new character each day, with the Movincihawk variant selling out quickly on Wednesday.

Pop! Mystery and Pop! Yourself

This year, Funko introduces two exciting new experiences: Pop! Mystery and Pop! Yourself. The Pop! Mystery line features blind-bagged figurines centered on various popular IPs, including KPop demon huntersOne Piece and Warner Bros. horror characters. The line also includes a one-of-one figure that Funko will buy back for $10,000.

The Pop! Yourself experience allows attendees to create their own Funko Pops! with a Spider-Man theme. The Brand New Day SDCC Exclusive Bundle includes a custom cosplay figure, accessories, a Bitty Pop! Hulk collectible, and exclusive packaging.

Connecting with Fans

Funko CEO Josh Simon emphasizes the importance of connecting with genuine fans at Comic-Con. Unlike other booths focused solely on selling, Funko aims to make the experience more experiential.

“With Comic-Con, the real fans have access to these unique products. And we know these are going to real human beings, that we can see and talk to,” said Simon. “It’s an authentic way to interact with our true fans and make sure our product is getting into the hands of real people.”

Funko maintains its normal pricing architecture for Comic-Con exclusives, even though some items are resold at a premium. For instance, the Movincihawk figure, which sold out on Wednesday, was seen selling for over $3,000 on eBay by Friday.

Funko Fun Days

Adding to the excitement, Funko is bringing back Funko Fun Days a themed party for fans that includes food, drinks, games, and exclusive items. The event, which took place on Friday, saw tickets sell out within minutes in April. Funko is known to give away prototypes of its figures via raffles or trivia contests, adding to the hype factor.

“Most of the booths here are about selling,” said Simon. “And while acknowledging it too has a focus on selling and limited editions, the executive says ‘we just want to make it more experiential.'”
